Australia Day Citizenship ceremony at Wahroonga Park

      The Rotary Club of Wahroonga hosted the Australia Day Citizenship ceremony at Wahroonga Park.

 Several hundred people gathered to hear Premier Barry O’Farrell and Australia Day Ambassador and much loved former A Country Practice actor Lorrae Desmond, and Wahroonga Rotary President John Collins welcome 76 new citizens.

 Among those who became Australian citizens were Gary and Sandra Eckstein of West Pymble with their daughters Ella and Ariel.

 Gary is  an IT consultant from South Africa and Sandra is a project manager at the San Hospital from New Zealand.

      The Rotary Club of Wahroonga provided free refreshments as part of its commitment to serving the community.
