Concert 2
The year’s first Concert in the Park was a tremendous success, musicwise, weatherwise, and especially Rotarywise.
Vic Deeble, Community Service chair, reports:
"A big thank you to all the team that took part in the BBQ and drinks activity at the Concert on Saturday afternoon and evening. With the Rotary Club banner proudly raised high above our two tents on twin flag poles we had queues from time to time. We actually sold all the steaks, sausages, bread and rolls running out just as the concert was finishing. The “take” was close to $1000, but costs have to come out. Having numbers there at the finish for the clear up plus two trailers to take away the equipment made the clear up quick and easy. We vacated the site before the other sellers by 8:20pm. Probably a record.
A special thanks to our organising team - Max, Ian Cameron and David Cooper. You did well guys!
