Good news. Alisha Olsen has been chosen as a member of the District 9680 Group Study Exchange team that goes to Turkey in April – we met her last week.

Alisha is 27, lives in Hornsby near Barker College, grew up in St Ives, went to North Sydney Girls’ High, and did a Bachelor of Commerce (Marketing) at Macquarie University. She has a sister and a brother.

She has worked in the marketing world for five years and is currently national manager of in-store demonstrations for Woolworths.

Alisha learned about Rotary from Kerri Hodge ( on the right below)– they are both in the same exercise group. And of course they sat together at last week’s meeting.

The last Group Study Exchange member we sponsored was Chris Gough, who went to Japan in 1995. We will be meeting Alisha again, as the team does not leave for Turkey until April. The plan is for the team to be at Gallipoli for the Dawn Service on Anzac Day.
