Recap on the Novus Foundation Dinner and the RI Convention

This weeks meeting was devoted to a recap on the outcomes of the Novus Foundation Fundraiser dinner--Read more...(below) and the RI Convention held in Sydney 1-4 th June
We also had a visit from Dick White the HOC Home hosting organiser, to thank the Club members and it's Hosting organiser John Cameron, for the outstanding event success--58 visitors were hosted by club members.

The CEO of the Hamlin Fistula Ethiopia organisation also attended to thank the Club ( Ken Broadhead) for the encouragement given to have a stand in the House of Fellowship at the RI Convention--it was a great success resulting many new contacts and relationships and donations.
Peter Smith spoke of the Novus Foundation Dinner success and thanked many volunteer members and confirmed the financial outcome-- raising $175,000.--a total of $1.1million over the 8 years the event has been held. That success along with other club fundraising for the Rotary year 2013/2014--now topped $299,000--a wonderful Club performance.
