Our first meeting for 2020 was a very casual affair  --meeting at the "Off the Rails" Wahroonger coffee shop--intended as a social get together and 25 members attended with member spouses and friends--noting also that Sister Sheila travelled from Flemington by train to join us.

The gathering did give Lucy Dahill and Jo-Ann Moffat an opportunity to talk to members about the  "Mogo" bushfire response initiative (read the story on the Website --or below under "Avenues of Service") to a recently endorsed project by the Club to join in the response effort initiated by Sallianne McLelland (ex CEO of the Hornsby Womens shelter).

In excess of $1000 was collected from members to enable Lucy Dahill to purchase goods required from the "shopping list" of needs identified on the "Sign up " list ( see the story)
Other members have already bought and delivered goods to the SOS Removals Thornleigh collection point to be loaded and delivered on the 11th January
Thanks Phill Comfort for organising the morning with Jayne at the Cafe
