“Now or never wine tasting”

Enjoy a wine tasting with a difference and support bushfire victims.

A joint project with the Rotary Clubs of
Wahroonga and Hunters Hill

Many if not all of us have bottles lurking at the back of the wine cupboard which may now either be rubbish or taste like nectar…but we don’t take the risk and just leave them there getting worse (or better).

Now is the time to take the risk! Be guests at The Baytree Lifestyle Resort in Greenwich.

Bring an old bottle each, make a team of five to ten wine lovers, share your wines, choose the team’s best and worst and save a drop for the wine expert who will choose the overall winners. A prize of dinner or lunch for two with wine in the Baytree restaurant for each of the oldest, the most interesting red, the most interesting white and, of course, the worst!

Nothing comes free. This is a charity event. We will ask you to make a $50 per head donation on the night to the Rotary Club of Wahroonga Foundation. Your donation is tax deductible.

Rotary is responding to the current crisis by establishing a Rotary National Bushfires Appeal. Your donation will be channelled through this Appeal Fund to the Rotary Districts most affected by the fires to assist with rebuilding their communities.

Wednesday March 18th. 6.30pm. The Baytree, 6 Ulonga Avenue, Greenwich, 2065. Parking available under the building but be careful of drink/driving.

Cheese and bread (and ice for the whites) will be provided during the competition but why not make a night of it? Winners will be announced during dinner in the Baytree restaurant after the event which can be booked in advance. Special menu price of $40, guest speakers and more prizes organised by the Rotary Club of Hunters Hill. This is highly recommended. But, note, the donation does not cover the cost of the dinner.
