President's Message
Our evening at the Warrawee Club, very ably organised by Rochelle, began with us all arriving in torrential rain. Barefoot bowls didn’t get a look-in because of the rain, but there was plenty of laughter and chatter instead. Many of use wore funny hats – some with a Christmas theme and others hilarious or serious. Of course there were prizes, won by John Collins and Joan Giacometti. We raised around $400.00 for the Rotary Lift the Lid mental health program. We even sang happy birthday to our own Rotary club. It celebrated 49 years of existence on 25 November. Get ready for a big year next year!

On Wednesday 6 December, there will be NO MORNING MEETING. Instead we will be gathering at the PCYC in Waitara at 8.30am to take part in the Walk Against Domestic Violence.  Various community groups will be taking part. Our District has chosen to wear distinctive purple shirts. If you have not purchased one, please wear your Club shirt. More event details - here
The Walk is just a part of the morning’s activities, which will conclude with a morning tea at 10.30am. Various local dignitaries and representatives from local organisations will be there. Ku-ring-gai Mayor Sam Ngai and Hon Philip Ruddock, Mayor of Hornsby, will take part, as will Superintendent Commander Matt Scott from the Ku-ring-gai Police Area Command. Catherine Knox from the Women’s Shelter will talk on coercive control, and two students (female and male) will put forward their perspectives on the topic.
Next week (13th) will be the last Rotary meeting for the year. Please come along for the AGM, a presentation on the Foundation and some entertaining light-hearted music to get us in the spirit of the Christmas period.

The Wahroonga Village fair
The enormous amount of work done by the Fair Committee culminated at the Village precinct on a fantastic day with a clear blue sky and an enormous crowd (and dogs).
The Club members turned out in numbers to tackle a wide range of tasks throughout the day including supporting the 140 stallholders
Apart from the last few days frantic lead up work the stall team was on site at 4.00am this morning and will finish at 7ish this evening.
A full report to come from the day - when the team leaders have time to catch their breath in a day or so.
"Back-to-back" entertainment was conducted throughout the day under the supervision of Sallianne McClelland and the Raffle ticket booth was well attended.
Attached here is a pictorial record of the day so far, with lots of pics to come.
